Helping a busy Worcestershire police station to increase efficiency and reduce energy bills by recommending, procuring and installing a clever, state-of-the-art heating and hot water system, with minimum downtime and disruption.
Kidderminster Police Station is a large, busy site that had been relying on an outdated, inefficient and expensive central heating and hot water system.
Our brief was to significantly improve the client’s energy use by replacing this out-of-date system with an efficient, state-of-the-art, easy-to-use alternative.
The challenge was to procure and install the new system with minimum downtime and disruption, and to safely remove large amounts of harmful asbestos from their boiler room at the same time.
Having provided facilities management services for the client for a while, we knew what was important to them, and communication and consultation were key to the smooth running and success of the project.
The site is operational around the clock, so safety was paramount, and disruption was kept to a minimum throughout the process of upgrading the system.
A state-of-the-art system was selected, one which most aligned to the client's efficiency objectives.
